The company

WTI Building Products (美亞建築用品) is a wholly US-owned manufacturer founded in 1998 in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu. With 500 staff and 30,000 tonnes of annual capacity, it makes 42 product families — ring-lock and frame scaffolding, aluminium and fibreglass ladders, planks, shoring and aluminium formwork — for builders, scaffolding contractors and distributors. It holds ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.

The challenge

The engineering was real. The certificates were real. The load tests were printed in the catalogue. But the old website had lapsed, and a distributor in Sydney or Rotterdam searching for a scaffolding supplier found nothing. Asking ChatGPT or Perplexity got an answer naming somebody else.

In every market WTI wanted to sell into, it didn’t exist. And the usual fix — an agency, a developer, a translator and someone checking claims against certificates, per market — is exactly the broken chain the Dashboard replaces.

What the Dashboard did

WTI didn’t commission a website. They set up their brand record once, and the website, the rules behind it and the visibility work all came from that record.

  • Brand Facts. Founding date, capacity, workforce, product range and export markets stored as one verified record. Correct it once and every page follows.
  • Compliance. ISO certificates uploaded with their expiry dates — a claim can only cite one that’s in date. Load ratings are locked parameters, quoted from the catalogue’s tests, never generated or inferred.
  • A site built from the record. The agents turned the record into WTI’s first findable website: product families, published load tests, an FAQ, structured data and a full sitemap — every page through the Approvals queue, pre-checked against the rules.
  • LumiGEO. Once live, LumiGEO tracked how AI engines answer the questions WTI’s buyers ask, diagnosed the gaps, and wrote and deployed the fixes.

The result

Within a week of launch, WTI went from no presence at all to an SEO score of 96 and 60% AI visibility across tracked buyer queries — still rising. WTI is now cited in Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and ChatGPT.

They didn’t brief an agency, re-explain the product range to a developer, or check a translator’s claims against a certificate. The Dashboard handled governance, the site and the visibility work from one record.

Beyond the numbers

Visibility was the door, not the destination. For years, Australia, New Zealand and Europe were markets WTI could supply but couldn’t reach. Now buyers there can find them, check their certificates and load ratings, and get a straight answer when they ask an AI engine who to trust.

That’s how WTI is landing in those markets: building credibility with distributors and contractors who had never heard of them, and growing a customer base one enquiry at a time. Markets that stayed closed for years are finally open.

And it compounds. Every new market is one more market added in the Dashboard. The facts, rules and approvals are already there, so WTI’s reputation travels with them.
